He was the famous Haiku poet of Japan.
He was born in Ehime Matsuyama in 1874.
His real name was Kiyoshi Takahama .
He studied Haiku with Shiki Masaoka .
He sponsored (Hototogisu) Haiku books .
He received the Culture's decoration in 1954.
He died in 1959 at the age of 85.
