              Kosho Ohtani (1911- 2002)

                             The priest of the Singon sect.
                             He was born in Kyoto Pref. in 1911.
                             He became the head of the 23rd generation of the
                             Jodo Shinshu Honganji Sect, following the trace of his uncle Kozui Ohtani
                             He took office three times as president of the All-Japan Buddhist Church
                             He became Honorary President at the Kyoto Conference of
                             the World Religious Peace Conference of 1945.
                             He died in 2002 at the age of 90.
