Bundo Shunkai (1878-1970)


A Tendai Buddhist monk and calligrapher active from the Taisho to Showa eras.
He learned calligraphy from Nishikawa Shundo and created his own style of calligraphy in regular script.
In 1967, he was selected as a Person of Cultural Merit.
