The priest of the Rinzai sect.
He was Enkaku temple's superintendent priest.
He was born in Shizuoka in 1891.
He studied Zen with Gyodo Furukawa .
Takashi Asahina of the orchestra conductor
was his younger brother .
He died in 1979 at the age of 89.
