Renjyo Akamathu (1840-1919)

The priest of the Jodoshinshu Honganji sect.
He was born in Ishikawa Pref. in 1840.
After the England overseas study,
he took an active part to the gods and Buddha separation.
Also, he makes the new organization of the sect
and tackled with the reform of the education and research system.
He died in 1919 at the age of 79.
